To my wife- A plant’s life

This was written after a death in the family.

Growth of a plant

A plant’s life is well defined
No matter what the season brings
They never go outside the lines

They’re sown and grown, then bloom and die
Circle of life they seem to sing
In all this time they don’t ask why

Comparing this to you
Never could be true
Of you all things plants remind
For you, only blooming applies

Sowing and growing need no reason
For you death is but a season
To die is often for what we wait
Taking us to heaven as is our fate
